Before one of the biggest Cornish-meet crowds for years, Roger Lobb scored a hat-trick as he returned to grasstrack after an absence of five years at Cornwall Solo's Good Friday season-opener at St Erme.

One of a gaggle of returnees who looked as though they had never been away, he one his three finals against hot opposition from Wayne Barrett, John Orchard back after 11 years, Kevin Williams and Jason Prynne.

Chris Bennett was the 350 winner but there were no 250s - only three entries were received.

The sidecars also dished up some hot racing, with Matthew Tyrrell and Myles Simmons sharing victory in the two opens.
